Heligoland May 2025

Heligoland is home to Germany’s only breeding colony of Northern Gannets, making it a truly unique destination for seabird enthusiasts and nature photographers alike. The island’s steep red cliffs host five breeding seabird species, which form the core of its vibrant colony: around 2,000 pairs of Northern Gannets, 4,000 pairs of Common Guillemots, 80 pairs of Razorbills, 4,000 pairs of Black-legged Kittiwakes, and 50 pairs of Northern Fulmars.
